Mt. Vernon Center For Dentistry Presents
Your Painless Dental Experience
Does the mere thought of dental work make you feel stressed and anxious? Is a dental phobia keeping you from receiving the treatments you need in order to achieve your best smile?
There are many different reasons why sedation dentistry may be beneficial for you. Not only does sedation dentistry ease dental phobia, but it can also make extensive dental work more convenient. You can accomplish several procedures in a single sitting when you are made comfortable with sedation dentistry.
When you come to see our sedation dentist at Mt. Vernon Center for Dentistry, you are entering a safe zone. You will never be judged for your dental history, because we understand how serious dental phobia and other difficulties can be. Even if you have stayed away from the dentist for years, we want to bring you back and give you the stress-free experience you truly deserve.
Dr. James Green, Dr. Zeyad Mady, and Dr. Haley Hausser care deeply for each of their patients. They give patients the opportunity to choose from a complete spectrum of sedation dentistry, depending on their needs.

Nitrous oxide, also called “laughing gas,” is a colorless and odorless gas that can help you relax. Your sedation dentist will administer this gas through a mask placed over your nose. This sedation method can help you feel content and even euphoric during your treatment, and you will be able to resume daily activities afterwards.
Oral Conscious Sedation
Conscious sedation is a moderate sedation. It allows you to maintain your own airway and reflexes, and respond to physical and verbal stimuli. However, you will experience decreased anxiety and awareness so that you will feel comfortable and relaxed throughout your visit.
IV sedation does not put patients to sleep, but many patients report feeling like they slept through their visit. Our sedation dentist will administer this sedation through a direct injection into the bloodstream. IV sedation makes patients feel sleepy and relaxed so they can receive the care they need.
General anesthesia is the most powerful form of sedation dentistry, but is perfectly safe when your sedation dentist has completed three months of hospital-based training. Our dentists are qualified to safely administer general anesthesia so patients with extreme dental phobia can receive any procedure they need without any fear or worry.
